Introduction

Szpas is a restaurant and bar in Jurata run by the BlueApart group, the operator of apartments and Hotel LIDO on the Hel Peninsula. The client came to us with a clear brief: Szpas was to be a brand in its own right, not a tab on the apartment website. Its own domain, its own visual identity, its own messaging - and a website that sells the atmosphere of the place before guests even walk through the door.

The Szpas project is also part of a wider collaboration with BlueApart, within which we have built and continue to develop several digital products that meet different business needs of the client - a booking platform, an owner portal and a quote panel. Each of these solutions handles a different stage of the process and a different group of users, but together they form BlueApart's coherent digital ecosystem.

CHALLENGE

A restaurant in a tourist town has different problems from a restaurant in a city. Traffic is seasonal and comes in spikes; some guests are staying in the apartments and the hotel in the same building, some come to the Peninsula for a few days, and a large share read the website in English. On top of that, the menu changes with the seasons, and the most valuable bookings - weddings, birthdays, company dinners - call for a conversation, not a click. The website had to:

  • capture the look and atmosphere of the restaurant,
  • showcase the signature cuisine and the head chef,
  • give quick access to the current menu,
  • guide users toward booking a table,
  • present the restaurant as a place for both a spontaneous dinner and bigger occasions,
  • make opening hours, contact details and location easy to find,
  • make it easy to manage frequently changing content.

In hospitality, people often decide where to eat before they ever set foot in the place. So the website had to deliver concrete information and, at the same time, build excitement about a visit to Szpas.

Booking a table was another major challenge in itself. The process had to be simple, intuitive and easy to reach on any device. We wanted to shorten the path from interest in the restaurant to a confirmed booking, and to make this feature clearly visible in key places across the website.

SOLUTION

We designed and built a dedicated website for the Szpas brand - from the on-site identity and content architecture to the frontend and headless CMS. Instead of a generic restaurant template, we built a site around this particular restaurant: its daily rhythm, its guests and the way it takes bookings.

Frontend

  • The website was built with Next.js 15 and React 19, providing a modern architecture, a responsive interface and fast content delivery.
  • The visual layer uses Tailwind CSS 4, which allowed us to reproduce the project's custom design precisely.
  • Interactive elements, including the booking interface, are based on shadcn/ui and Radix UI.

CMS

- We used Strapi as a headless CMS to manage selected content.

Analytics and marketing

- We implemented Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel to analyze traffic and measure the effectiveness of marketing activities.

KEY FEATURES

  • A split booking path - a form for groups of 9 or more, a phone call for smaller bookings, with the choice made in a single window without leaving the page.
  • A group booking form - date, time chosen from a list of slots (12:00-21:00, every 30 minutes), number of guests, contact details, a message field and privacy policy consent, with a confirmation message after submitting.
  • A client-managed menu - the current menu is a file attached in Strapi, which the restaurant team replaces whenever the seasonal menu changes.
  • Two language versions - PL and EN, with translated URLs on both sides.
  • A head chef section - a profile of Marcin Popielarz as a selling point.
  • A responsive interface - the whole site was designed to deliver a consistent experience on phones, tablets and larger screens.

Results

  • The website presents the Szpas brand consistently and lets guests get a feel for the restaurant before they visit.
  • A dedicated form and clearly visible booking buttons make it easy for users to book a table quickly.
  • A custom endpoint handles the booking form directly in the application, with no external form service.
  • The Strapi integration makes it easy to update the menu without touching the website's code.
  • The multilingual version lets the restaurant present its offer to both Polish and international guests.

SUMMARY

For Szpas Restaurant & Bar, we created a modern, multilingual website that showcases the restaurant's character, cuisine and atmosphere, while making it easy for guests to check the menu and book a table.

Built on Next.js 15, React 19, Tailwind CSS 4 and Strapi, the website combines a polished visual layer with a functional booking process and flexible content management.
